Dragon Fennel features medium-fast growth, makes a very round bulb, and is very slow to bolt. A variety prized for its striking appearance and sweet, bold flavor. It is a hardy perennial herb that grows up to 4 feet tall and has feathery leaves and yellow flowers. Dragon yields plump, juicy, heavy bulbs with attractive, upright fronds. Matures later than other favorites for a continuous harvest. Grows great in USDA growing zones 3-10. Foeniculum vulgare. 75 days to maturity

The plant thrives in full sun and well-draining soil and is often used as an ornamental herb in flower beds or as a border plant. It is also a popular choice for herb gardens, as its leaves and Seeds are both used in cooking. The plant produces bush green foliage reaching approximately two feet in height with 4-inch fruits.
