The Striped Carolsello Leccese Cucumber is a rare Italian heirloom melon that is picked immature as a cucumber when 1-2 inches in diameter. The cylindrical striped fruit has a crisp exterior, yet exhibits a tender smooth internal texture and rich complex flavor with a sweet aftertaste. Vines love the heat and thrive in well-drained soils.
Striped Carosello Leccese Cucumber: A melon that is consumed immaturely as a gourmet-quality cucumber when 1-2 inches in diameter. The cylindrical striped fruit possesses a crisp yet tender flesh, a rich complex flavor, and a sweet aftertaste. Similar to zucchini, pick early and often. Vines love the heat and thrive in well-drained soils. An Italian Heirloom variety.
